I discovered my fathers camera in a closet when I was 6 years old. Over the next two years I figured out how to make the various parts work and what they did, all on my own. I shot my first event with a “big boy” camera when I was 9. Ever since then, I have been fascinated with making my photos better and better. I worked for the likes of Corbis, Swedish Hospital, BMW, and Cold Water Creek. I have shot for Dwell, Inc., Nintendo Power, Seattle, and Lexus magazines among others and have had the chance to shoot from helicopters, boats, cars, planes trains and automobiles. I love adventures and have documented water issues in Seattle, Heartbreak in Japan and deforestation in the Dominican Republic. I have been all over the world and seen many beautiful and amazing things. I have stood on molten lava as I photographed it, climbed to the top of the Duomo in Florence and was personally invited to a Space Shuttle launch by an astronaut on the crew, but up until now I had not served on a board of directors. I am looking forward to working in the company of such esteemed colleagues and hopeful that my work, and that of the board, will create a future of abundant cause-oriented visual storytelling.
