Tom Lynn

Tom started as a photojournalist over thirty years ago at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel where he documented unspeakable sadness, extraordinary splendor, and the power of the human spirit. His work has been featured in National Geographic Magazine, Audubon Magazine, Smithsonian, and The New York Times. He documented the last commercial fisherman from Milwaukee, Dan Anderson, who spends half the year in Alaska to fish commercially since the invasive species have all but eliminated the industry in the Great Lakes. In 2003 Tom was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in the category of Explanatory Reporting for Wisconsin’s issue of Chronic Wasting Disease in Whitetail Deer. Tom works alongside the International Crane Foundation documenting their mission of saving cranes worldwide. Tom uses the natural environment to create beautiful and compelling images that connect people to the wonders of nature.
